Abstract

The complex polymetallic sulphide mineralization of Pb, Zn and Cu as major and Ni, Co, Bi and U as minor constituents in the Babe ore deposit was investigated. By using the ore microscopy method a relatively complex mineral composition, including textural and fabric relationships was determinated. Four mineral stages are outlined: contact metamorphic, pneumatolytic, hydrothermal and supergene. The sulphide mineralization has been formed during the hidrothermal stage and in domain of that the several mineral paragenses were estabished. The possible crystallization sequences of minerals and paragenses are presented on the sheme of succession.
