Abstract

The typical sequences in Lower Tnassic braided rivers are defined in eight localities of Western Serbia.

The typical sequences as a product of specific sedimentary regime are, solitary or grouped, macroforms, or internal macrofomis, with characteristic association of lithofacies, specific disposition of numerical hierarchy of bounding surfaces. The typical channel sequence of gravely predominated braided rivers are determinated in profiles on Kladnica locality and the typical sequence of bar facies in profile on Močioce locality.

In the profiles on Tara mountain, near to Jelen Do village, on slopes of Crni Vrh, in Kladnica, near to Ponorac, in Ursule and near to Vuče are determinated typical sequences of channel facies of sandy predominated braided rivers.

The typical sequences of bar facies of sandy predominated braided rivers are defined in profile of Tara mountain, part of profile near to Močioce, part of profile in Kladnica and in profile near to Ponorac.
