Abstract

Basic analytical methods and color specification in minerals with distinct physical theories required for interpretation of results are presented in this paper. A few examples for idiochromatic and allochromatic type of color were investigated by authors. Experimentally obtained results for Cr—kaolinile and pimelite were compared with the predictions of ligand field theory.
