Abstract

Biostratigraphical analysis of core froni borehole IEBS-1 identified an extremely abundant and diverse fossil association of 78 foraminiferal species, 16 molluscan species, 14 otolith species, 4 bryozoan species, one womi and one coral forms, and fragments of other organisms. The main characteristic of this oryctocenosis is real marine fauna with few forms indicating occasional refreshing.
